Recombu is a consumer-facing site that covers mobile news, reviews and apps.

Touchscreens and apps.

Q. How many mobile events do you attend each year?

Over ten if you include press events.

Q. How many MWCs have you been to? Any top tips for PRs or companies planning to engage with you there?

I’ve been to three and I’d advise PRs to get on Twitter while there out there.

Q. Which one are you most looking forward to?

The parties, I mean the new handsets.

Q. What types of stories or companies are likely to attract your attention this year?

Anything that’s created by passionate companies that genuinely believe in their products.

Q. How many interviews do you do per week?

One or two.

Q. What’s the best way to pitch a story to you?

Q. What’s your favourite blog?

Q. What is your favourite piece of technology?

My iPhone.

Q. What do you think is the most important development in mobiles to date?

Q – What is the best piece of advice for companies pitching stories?

Don’t be pushy but don’t give up too early either.

Q. What was the best press trip you’ve ever been on? Worst? Why?

Best was Japan, worst was a trip to Germany that ended up with the conference speakers speaking in German and no translators.

Q.  What’s your favourite restaurant?

Pearl Liang in Paddington.

Q. Are you a social media lover? Which ones are you on? FB? LinkedIn? Twitter?

I use and love all of them.

Q. Tell us something no-one knows about you? Do you have any unusual or unexpected hobbies/interests? Do you have a claim to fame?

I speak fluent Spanish but not Chinese. My claim to fame is that I once spent a weekend with Bill Nighy’s family.
