The GSMA returns to Cannes, hoorah!

MWC show organisers, the GSMA, have created another event which will be held in Cannes (the spiritual home of MWC) from April 4th-7th. This one has been organised in conjunction with Reed MIDEM and is entitled Connected Creativity at MIPTV. This is apparently an event which unites decision makers and innovators in entertainment, mobile media and technology. It also provides access to MIPTV which it claims is the world’s leading content market with over 11,000 participants from 107 countries.Naturally, there are a number of ‘early bird’ style promotions to attract potential attendees. Better still there is one for those who attended MWC.

All you have to do is use the special promotional code ‘GSMACC11′ which until Wednesday March 9th. That gets you in for a mere €995 (excluding VAT), so you’ d, err, better hurry, then.

Who’s participating? Companies at Connected Creativity include: Orange, Intel, Vivendi, AOL, BBC, BitTorrent, Deutsche Telekom, Ericsson, Samsung, and Yahoo.

Speakers include Luke Bradley-Jones who is md of BBC.com and Global iPlayer, So we pay the licence fee and he get to go to Cannes in April. Magic.
