It seems that a German-backed event is gearing itself up to compete against the Mobile World Congress (MWC).  M-Days  which describes itself as “The home of Mobile” will take place next year [2012] on 1st-2nd February at the Frankfurt Messe.  Whilst M-Days has become the leading event of its kind for German-speaking regions, to increase its important for all of Europe, the organisers have engaged the services of Stuart Willett to set up a representative office in the UK and establish a network of partners in several regions of Europe. Willet is, of course, well-known to Countdown2MWC and is a widely recognised mobile and publishing expert.“M-Days has the clear target not only to place itself as the leading Central-European event for innovations and trends in the mobile market, but also to be an excellent partner for exhibitors and sponsors from all over Europe,” said Klaus Reinke, executive of the Messe Frankfurt Exhibition

“Mobile has become a leading medium, commented Mark Wächter, chairman of the MobileMonday and Board of Directors of the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA).

“Today, content providers have to acknowledge: Mobile is gaining ground! Companies and administrations need some clear orientation concerning their mobile strategies and service providers within the mobile ecosystem. As a year-starting event for the industry, M-Days provides an excellent platform for this!”

The organisers claim M-Days is breaking new growth records and in 2012 the event will, again, be bigger than before. The rate of returning exhibitors has already reached 75 per cent one week prior to the official start of registration procedures for exhibition slots.

The number of European mobile companies using M-Days as a communication platform continues to grow. The overwhelming feedback from previous exhibitors clearly shows that the congress trade fair still has an enormous potential for development, the organisers argue.

M-Days 2012will offer presentations across six stages which will enlighten attendees on mobile web, applications, mobile advertising, tablet PCs, mobile content, mPOS, mobile enterprise, mobile payment and automotive topics.

Two stages will provide presentations in German, while the others will host English-speaking lectures. The developer sessions for the different operating systems will take place in a separate area.

If you want to take part, all necessary forms can be downloaded from www.m-days.com or are available on request from a.szameitat@11prozent.de.

11 Prozent Communication  was the original organiser of M-Days which it sold to Messe Frankfurt to secure its continuous growth in 2010.
