One free MWC 2012 pass from GSMA

January 6, 2012

Last year, Countdown2MWC handed out a few free passes to MWC (Mobile World Congress). This tickets were courtesy of RIM/BlackBerry and they flew out of the door. Well, the GSMA is apparently giving away a pass to MWC 2012 in a competition – but there only seems to be one winner. To enter the free MWC 2012 pass competition, you have to explain how you are redefining mobile. This involves becoming a fan of MWC on Facebook first. Then you must submit a photo, video or catch phrase to show how mobile is changing and improving your life.More details here. You’d better hurry because the closing date is February 6th [2012].

The show’s organiser has announced updates to the conference programme which includes more than 30 focused conference sessions.

Details of those new conference sessions have been released and the first one is called ‘Mobile Cloud: Competitive Landscape.’ Any type of cloud computing attracts major attention, of course.

The next topic is– ‘Mobile Money: NFC & Developments in mPayments’. As is ‘Context is King: Advertising & Marketing w/ Mobile Social Media’.

The third newly announced session is ‘Embedded Mobile: Automotive & Utilities’. We wonder if that will cover M2M (machine-to-machine) communications, perhaps?

The GSMA is also keen to promote its new programme dedicated to mobile advertising – mPowered Brands at MWC 2012. More details here.
