March 23, 2011

by Hans Cett (@HansCett)

The Global Mobile Awards at MWC 2011 Barcelona have been turned into a video which is posted on the GSMA’s Mobile World Live web site. You can view it here. [Note: to view this site for the first time you have to sign up.] The awards were, of course, presented by infamous UK personality – Jonathan Ross. He once said on stage to a prominent UK telecoms journalist, “Maxwell Cooter? What sort of name is that?” So Ross has always displayed the height of tact.

Anyway, Apple, HTC and Rovio (Angry Birds-maker) were among the big winners. Also highlighted were achievements in green technology, M2M and mobile innovation.
